Reeves claims that an entire boxcar of tusks and bones was sent to the American Museum of Natural History and subsequently dumped into the East River when they decided not to display them.<\/p>\n<p>So why would adventurous people set out to try to find these bones? Reeves stated in the podcast: \u201cLet me tell you something about mammoth bones, mammoth tusks \u2013 they\u2019re extremely valuable.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/world\/10-000-year-old-woolly-mammoth-skeleton-sells-645-000-n830421\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">In 2017, a complete Woolly Mammoth skeleton was sold at auction for $645,000.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It makes sense that such an uproar was caused due to the potential value of finding some of these tusks and bones.
